Picture
Below is a listing of all tuition scholarships available to Norwalk Catholic School and St. Paul High School students.  Applications will be available in the development office.  All questions about these scholarships should be directed to Mr. Fair in the development office.

Timothy G. Smith Scholarship

The Timothy G Smith Scholarship Fund, established in memory & honor of Timothy G. Smith, a cherished student at Norwalk Catholic School, will make possible one or more $500 tuition assistance scholarships to NCS annually.  These scholarships will be awarded to a student in grades 7-11 with a B or higher average who is in need of financial assistance.

The Leo and Martha Smith Family Trust Scholarship

The Leo and Martha Smith Family Trust Scholarship was established to help adequately prepare interested students for the health care field. One or more $500 scholarships will be awarded to the student in grades 8-11 demonstrating an interest in the health care field, having financial need, and maintaining a 3.2 grade point average.

The FCEDO Volunteer Scholarship

The Firelands Catholic Education Development Office (FCEDO) Volunteer Scholarship has been established to acknowledge the dedication and support of the many valued volunteers who are always ready to give of their talents and time as stewards in carrying out the mission of FCEDO. To enable a student to continue their Catholic Education and inspire him or her to follow in the footsteps of our many devoted volunteers, three $250 awards will be given; one to an Elementary student, current grade 3 through 6, one to a Junior High student and one to a High School student, grades 9 through 11.

Jeffrey H. Hay Community Service Scholarship

The Jeffrey H. Hay Community Service Scholarship has been established to honor the life-long service work of Jeffrey H. Hay by recognizing and rewarding students (grades 8-11) at St. Paul High School who similarly give of their time to provide tangible community service to those in need.  The award recipient of this single $500 tuition scholarship, is also a shining example to other students through his or her leadership, diligence and thoughtfulness while promoting a giving and positive attitude.

Duane L VanDresser Scholarship

The Duane L. Van Dresser Effort & Integrity Scholarship has been established to promote and reward students at St. Paul High School to strive to achieve their goals even when they are unsure, to have faith that hard work will produce success, to stand up for what is right and to give of themselves to the community.  These qualities were highly valued by Mr. Van Dresser.  His family is proud to give of themselves to a student at St. Paul High School who possesses a “digger” work ethic and the above mentioned qualities in memory of their Grandfather, Father, Brother and Husband. Student will be nominated by the faculty and staff of St. Paul High School. The forms can be obtained by the faculty and staff in the school development office and should also be returned to the school development office. The Van Dresser family will review with the help of school administration and select a recipient. The $1,000 scholarship will be applied towards the student’s tuition at St. Paul High School and may only be received once.

Mike H. Hay Scholarship for the Arts

The Mike H. Hay Scholarship for the Arts has been established to honor Mike H. Hay's love of music and the Norwalk community. Ten $500 scholarships will go to deserving students who demonstrate a love of music or the arts. Mike has been remembered as someone who always made time for those who wanted to talk to him, no matter the subject.  Recipients of the Mike H. Hay Scholarship are encouraged to remember not only Mike's love of music but also his engaging and giving spirit.
