The Jeffrey H. Hay Community Service Scholarship
has been established to honor the life-long service work of Jeffrey H. Hay by recognizing and rewarding students at St. Paul High School who similarly give of their time to provide tangible community service to those in need.  The award recipient is also a shining example to other students through his or her leadership, diligence and thoughtfulness while promoting a giving and positive attitude.
The annual Jeffrey H. Hay Community Service Scholarship award will be applied towards the tuition of any High School underclassmen registered to attend St. Paul High School in the upcoming year. While the most important aspect is the recipient’s devotion to community service, the student should also be in good standing academically and be involved in extra-curricular activities, clubs, and projects.
Each spring, students are encouraged to apply for the Jeffrey H. Hay Community Service Scholarship which should include a personal
recap of their community service activities, a faculty recommendation and a recommendation from a member of the community outside of their immediate or extended family. Candidates are encouraged to research the life-work of Jeff Hay to help provide guidance in their own charitable endeavors while serving to preserve his legacy to community service.

The award may only be received once per student.  Outgoing and former Jeffrey H. Hay Community Service Scholarship recipients are encouraged to participate in the selection process of future recipients along with designated members of FCEDO and the sponsor(s) of the Scholarship. A member of the Jeffrey H. Hay Community Service Scholarship committee will present the scholarship to the recipient at the SPH Honors Banquet.
