Norwalk Catholic School Promotes Matt Fair to Early Childhood Center
Norwalk Catholic School is proud to announce the promotion of Matt Fair to the director’s position at the Norwalk Catholic School Early Childhood Center. Mr. Fair, a 1990 graduate of St. Paul High School, has served NCS and SPH in many capacities over the years. He has taught junior high and high school courses in social studies and coached
football and basketball at the junior high level. He currently is serving as Alumni and Communications Director for the
Advancement and Admissions Office of Norwalk Catholic School. He has an undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University in Political Science and History and a master’s degree from Ashland University in Administration. He also has both a teaching and principal license from the State of Ohio.
“I am really excited to receive this opportunity. The ECC staff has a reputation of excellence and they are all well qualified. Having worked with most of them on different projects, my decision was a no brainer. Anyone would love the chance to work with these great people,” Mr. Fair stated. “Being able to see the development of our students from their first day in pre-school until they graduate from kindergarten is a reward in itself. The best part about this job is that I am able to stay in a community
that I love to which I have dedicated my entire life.”
NCS Governing Board President Chris Stang stated, “The Norwalk Catholic School Governing board is very excited about the hiring of Mr. Fair as the Director of the Early Childhood Center. Mr. Fair has a variety of experiences with Norwalk Catholic School, including student, alumni, parent, teacher, and administrator, all of which will provide him the tools to be successful with his administration degree in leading our staff at the ECC.”
The process in hiring a new director for the ECC evolved very quickly. Having someone with administration credentials already in the system led to a speedy resolution. NCS President Wayne Babcanec added, “Over the last two years, I have had the opportunity to observe
Matt’s dedication to Norwalk Catholic School on a daily basis. I am confident that Matt will be successful in his new position and will
continue to uphold the Early Childhood Center’s tradition of excellence established by Cindy McLaughlin and her staff.”
